About Mel

I am in the final year of my PhD. I hold an MRes in Psychology (distinction) and an undergraduate degree in psychotherapy (first class). I'm neurospicy and LGBTQ+ and provide a safe space for similar students, with flexible approaches to helping you learn. I have lectured in areas of critical social psychology and I have specialities in completing trauma (psychological/relational), gender, sexualities and grief. I work in an emancipatory paradigm, and my work focuses on centring under-served and excluded voices. My current work is within criminal-justice with mothers and children, domestic abuse as a bisexual person, and how sexualities develop over time. I particularly enjoy participatory and creative methods and multi-method projects that facilitate the most inclusion.
