About Marwah
I want to tutor because I enjoy helping children build their confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning. As a teacher, I understand that every child learns differently, and I would like to provide personalised support that focuses on their individual needs and areas for development. I find it particularly rewarding to see a child’s confidence grow as they begin to understand something they previously found challenging. Tutoring would also allow me to use my teaching experience in a more focused way, helping children make progress while making learning enjoyable and engaging.

I will follow a structured lesson structure, similar to the lesson plans I use in school. Each tutoring session will begin with a clear learning objective and a short starter activity to recap prior learning. I will then introduce and model the new concept in an age-appropriate way, using examples and questioning to check understanding.
The main part of the lesson will involve guided practice, followed by independent activities where the child can apply what they have learnt. I will adapt the level of challenge and provide support where needed. The lesson will finish with a short plenary or review to assess understanding and identify any areas that need further practice.
For a KS1 child, lessons will be engaging and varied, with opportunities for discussion, practical activities and repetition, while still following a clear and consistent structure.
