About Jennifer

Hello! My name is Jenny and I am a friendly, qualified teacher. I have experience teaching ESOL, reading, maths and phonics. I am a native English speaker and I currently live in Lancaster, UK. I am looking to you with your learning goals!

I can help students of all levels, including those looking to improve their conversational English and those looking to improve their academic/professional English. I can help improve both your written and spoken English.

My approach to each lesson will be highly individualised to each student and I will always try to make each lesson engaging and creative. My teaching approach is based on my experience from the classroom and is heavily embedded with current pedagogical knowledge.

I have experience teaching Primary aged children in a range of subjects, including phonics, early reading and maths. I have worked with SEND learners and I understand the importance of working with each learner and finding their individual goals.

Your first lesson would be a needs assessment where we can see your level of English and what you are working towards.

I have over 4 years of classroom experience as a teacher. I also hold a 140-hour TEFL certificate.
