About Mikayla
I'm a qualified languages teacher with a degree in English and German. I have taught German up to A-level and Spanish up to year 9. I love learning and teaching languages and enjoy seeing students grow in confidence.
I have seen two classes through their German GCSEs and have seen them flourish. Both classes were mixed ability, meaning I have been able to support students who needed extra help and push the students at the top end of the class to reach their full potential.
I have previous experience tutoring primary school aged children in English and maths. With the younger child (6), I focused on reading and maths and with the older child (9) I tutored him ahead of his 11+. I have also tutored children who were new to English.
I spent two years working in a primary school as specialised in-class support for children with special educational needs. I greatly enjoyed this job and eventually left so that I could do my teacher training.

Perfect! Excellent German Teacher for GCSE
Mikayla has worked with my sons for about a year, and has significantly improved their predicted grades for German GCSE (due to COVID there will be no exam). She has a thorough knowledge of the GCSE syllabus, and of course the German language. Thank you!
