About Al

As a fully qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE and over 12 years of experience in education, I bring a wealth of knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm to my teaching.

My career has taken me through both state and independent schools, where I have worked as a classroom teacher, English language specialist, academic mentor and university applications manager. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of how students learn, the challenges they face and the importance of building confidence alongside academic achievement.

I hold a BA (Honours) in French and Politics, a Master's degree in Turkish Studies, a PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages and a CELTA qualification. My academic background, combined with extensive practical teaching experience, enables me to deliver well-structured, engaging and academically rigorous lessons.

I am particularly passionate about inclusive education and have experience supporting learners with dyslexia, ADHD, autism and other additional learning needs. I recognise that no two students learn in exactly the same way, and I take pride in adapting my teaching to help every individual reach their potential.

Having worked with students from a wide range of cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement and mutual respect. I aim to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their independence.

My teaching philosophy is simple: **high expectations, individualised support and a genuine belief in every student's ability to succeed.**

Whether you are preparing for GCSE examinations, improving your French or English, developing your academic writing or simply wishing to become a more confident learner, I will provide professional, reliable and personalised support throughout your learning journey.

About the lesson

All lessons are delivered online and last **60 minutes**.

Each lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the student's individual needs, ability and learning objectives. I begin by reviewing previous learning, introduce new concepts through clear explanations and practical examples, and consolidate understanding through interactive activities, guided practice and constructive feedback.

My approach is structured yet flexible, allowing students to progress at a comfortable pace while maintaining high expectations. I aim to make every lesson productive, engaging and confidence-building.
