About Eemaan

I’m a qualified secondary school English teacher, currently teaching and examining AQA GCSE English Language and Literature. I decided to become an English teacher because I know how powerful it is when students feel confident explaining their ideas and understand exactly what they’re being asked to do. Many students I work with tell me that English can feel confusing or overwhelming, especially when exam answers don’t seem to get the marks they expect. My goal is to make things clear. I help students understand why marks are awarded, what examiners are looking for, and how to improve step by step. As a teacher and examiner, I have a strong understanding of how GCSE exams are marked, and I use this knowledge to help students improve their writing, structure their answers, and feel more confident approaching exams. Lessons are calm, supportive, and focused, with clear explanations, model answers, and time to practise and ask questions. I aim to create a relaxed but purposeful learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Whether you’re trying to build confidence, secure a pass, or aim for higher grades, I’ll support you with clear guidance and realistic goals. My aim is for every student to leave lessons feeling more confident, more prepared, and clearer about how to succeed in English.

Teaching & Tutoring Approach I am a qualified UK secondary school teacher of English Language and English Literature with over four years' experience teaching and examining the AQA GCSE specification. My tutoring is grounded in current classroom practice and a strong understanding of how students are assessed in real exams. Teaching Methodology & Techniques My approach is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. Lessons are carefully planned around each student’s needs and targets, with a strong emphasis on: Breaking down complex skills into clear, manageable steps Teaching students how to meet assessment objectives and use the mark scheme effectively Modelling high-quality responses and analysing what makes them successful Guided practice with immediate, constructive feedback Building confidence through clarity, routine, and achievable goals I focus on helping students understand how to gain marks, rather than memorising content without purpose. Lesson Length & Structure Most lessons are 60 minutes, which allows time for: Skill-building or content review Exam-style practice Targeted feedback and next steps Shorter sessions (30 minutes) can be offered where appropriate, particularly for younger students or those who benefit from shorter, focused learning.
