About Femi
I’m a friendly and supportive science tutor who specialises in helping secondary students build confidence and make clear progress. I use structured, calm teaching methods with clear explanations, modelling and guided practice so learning feels manageable and engaging. With experience as a KS3/KS4 science teacher trained at the University of Brighton, I bring strong subject knowledge and adaptive strategies for all learners, including those who benefit from SEND-friendly scaffolding or stretch and challenge. My lessons are focused, well-paced and designed to help students feel capable, motivated and ready to succeed in science.

I take a structured, supportive approach to tutoring, using clear explanations, modelling, guided practice and concise questioning to help students build confidence and secure understanding. My lessons typically run for 50 minutes and follow a predictable sequence retrieval, modelling, practice and feedback so pupils know what to expect and can focus without cognitive overload. I draw on my experience as a KS3/KS4 science teacher and my training through the University of Brighton, where I have developed strong behaviour routines, adaptive teaching strategies and effective assessment techniques. I tutor secondary-age learners, particularly those preparing for GCSE science, including pupils who benefit from additional scaffolding, SEND-friendly explanations or stretch and challenge. My aim is to create a calm, motivating environment where students feel supported, can ask questions confidently and make clear, measurable progress.
