About Nicola
With extensive teaching experience, I am passionate about guiding and supporting students in developing their English skills and reaching their full potential. My lessons are designed to be engaging and adaptable, making them suitable for all including ESL learners, home-schooled students, and those preparing for exams such as SATs, 7+, or 11+. I strive to foster a love of reading and writing, helping students build confidence and resilience in their learning. I provide high-quality online English lessons for individuals and small groups. With 20 years of experience teaching in UK schools (working in EYFS, KS1 and KS2) and 3 years of online instruction. I specialise in teaching reading, SPaG, creative writing, and phonics to students aged 5–14, including ESL learners, home-schooled students, and those preparing for 7+ or 11+ exams. Additionally, I offer engaging reading and creative writing courses centred around high-quality novels. As a group, we deeply explore the central text by reading and analysing extracts, followed by writing activities inspired by our reading. My lessons, tailored to each student’s needs, are available in 1-hour or 90-minute sessions, with optional homework. As a compassionate and nurturing teacher, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, enjoy their lessons, and thrive.
