Ben is one of the best tutors in Piano. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Ben

I currently hold a music teacher position at a secondary school and have worked as a music teacher for close to 10 years. My experience spans across primary schools, secondary schools, music academies and private music schools. During these periods, I also gave one-on-one lessons for beginner and experienced students who are interested in music.

I have taught over 200 students over the years, and formed many great friendships with my students. I have also prepped students for Practical Music Examinations where they have achieved great results. Apart from academic achievements, I also pride myself in building confidence in my students so that they are comfortable with performances and confident in their abilities as musicians.

I have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and am DBS checked.

About the lesson

Hi, I am a qualified teacher who has extensive experience in teaching music in schools and also privately. I am a musician by profession (Bachelor of Music) and I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I also have an Honours Degree in Education as I am passionate about teaching and on the benefits of music education.

I teach practical piano and keyboard lessons as well as aural ear training, and can assist you in preparing for music exams. I have taught one-on-one lessons and also classroom lessons for close to 10 years, with students ranging from 6 years old to 60 years old!

My lessons are individualised and engaging, and are centred around my students' goals and aspirations (whether you are learning piano as a hobby or as taking it as a subject). I am patient and professional, and will help you to reach your personal best.

Please contact me should you be interested in learning how to play the piano I would be delighted to be a part of your music advancement.

Ben is an excellent music teacher. As a gifted musician and highly skilled teacher, he is great at assessing a student's abilities and interests. His lessons are challenging but enjoyable, which allows opportunities for growth as I continue to enhance my saxophone skills. I now feel confident in my music skills. Ben is fair but firm with his students and I highly recommend him as a music teacher!

Ben is a highly skilled musician with a formal post-graduate education in music, and teaching music. His real talent is making the saxophone accessible and fun. Teaching is clearly his passion. As a beginner, I have found him to be very patient, and he structures his lessons so that technique and enjoyment are equally prioritised. Highly recommended!
