About Aisling

Who Am I?

I’m an enthusiastic, outgoing and friendly Spanish tutor who genuinely loves teaching and connecting with people. I enjoy helping students discover that learning a language can be both rewarding and fun, whatever their age or starting level.

Having been fluent in Spanish for over 30 years, I have a deep appreciation for the language and the culture behind it. I enjoy teaching all levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps in Spanish to advanced students who want to develop greater fluency, confidence and natural expression.

I’m naturally energetic and sociable, and my background and interest in theatre and performance bring a creative and expressive element to my classes. I love using conversation, role-play and real-life situations to get students speaking and feeling comfortable in Spanish.

Above all, I’m patient, respectful and encouraging. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing at their own pace.

For me, the best part of teaching is seeing a student become more confident — especially when they suddenly realise, “I can actually speak Spanish!”

About the lesson

My Approach to Teaching Spanish

I’m an Irish tutor with over 30 years of fluency and experience in Spanish, having lived and immersed myself in the language and culture for many years. I offer fun, dynamic and practical Spanish classes tailored to each student’s level, personality and goals.

My teaching focuses strongly on natural, conversational Spanish — helping students move beyond simply learning grammar and vocabulary to actually feeling comfortable communicating in real-life situations. I place particular emphasis on clear pronunciation, listening skills, useful everyday expressions and building confidence when speaking.

I believe lessons should be engaging and enjoyable, while still having a clear structure and purpose. I encourage students to speak as much as possible, using conversation, role-plays, real-life scenarios, games and targeted exercises to make the language memorable and relevant.

For students preparing for exams, I provide specific exam preparation, focusing on the requirements and format of the particular exam, as well as practising the skills, vocabulary, grammar and strategies needed to achieve their goals.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student's age, level and needs.

I teach students of different ages and levels, from beginners who are discovering Spanish for the first time to more advanced learners looking to improve their fluency and accuracy. Whether your goal is to speak more confidently, improve your pronunciation, prepare for an exam, travel, or simply enjoy learning Spanish, my aim is to make every class useful, relaxed and enjoyable.
