About Mel
Born and raised in Lyon, the third largest city in France, my love for learning new languages and culture took me to the UK where I got a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages (Spanish and ESL) as well as a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in French.
I taught French in a public secondary school in England and I am familiar with the GCSE and A-level expectations.
I was then hire by a French School (AEFE) to teach French to Primary children following the French curriculum.
Since 2019 I have been working for one of the leading EdTech company teaching French, Soft-Skills & Intercultural Training to adult learners of Global Organizations across the globe.

As a qualified and experienced French native teacher, I possess an exceptional academic record and I am passionate about teaching in a dynamic, engaging and challenging learning environment.
I have comprehensive experience developing and delivering teaching plans in French, and have utilised various teaching methods and techniques to optimise students’ learning experience.
I adopt an encouraging and facilitative approach to classes exercises where I seek to enhance students’ confidence, vocabulary and general language skills.
My teaching approach and experience is focused on a consistent approach and work ethic.
I always ensure that all learners achieve their learning objectives while enjoying the session activities.
I also take an active interest in monitoring student progress and addressing difficulties effectively through employing personalised learning and teaching plans.
I have strong interpersonal and presentation skills and I am able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing including working with parents to support student’s learning needs.
I always seek to keep my knowledge up-to-date with new teaching methods and techniques to continuously improve my teaching style and approach.
I have held several teaching posts and believe I provide an outstanding teaching environment and experience for students.
A lesson usually lasts 60 minutes, at the end of each lesson I will send you a report with comments such as new words, new grammar point, pronunciation, errors and (optional) activities to prepare for our next session.
