About Shanisa
I am currently a KS1 teacher with 3 years experience in EYFS. I am the phonics lead within my school and I have extensive knowledge of early reading and writing strategies to help support children who find it difficult in grasping phonics, letter recognition, blending, segmenting and sentence formation.

I have a passion for teaching and love working alongside children. I am always supportive and uplifting and try my best to make sure every child feels success during my lessons. It is important to me that children learn with positive attitudes and this starts within themselves. Boosting a child's confidence in learning gives them the opportunity to believe they can do it and in turn this opens the door for personalised, targeted tutoring to take root.
I have a considerate and patient manner with children and always work hard to ensure we are both getting the best out of the learning experience. I make learning fun and engaging and give children the tools to use what they have learnt during my lessons in their everyday lives and independent activities.
