About Arunima
Hello there! Here’s a little about me!
I’m an experienced educator with 4+ years of teaching experience, particularly with young learners. I hold a B.Ed. and a B.A. in English & History and I am currently pursuing my M.A. in English.
I have also completed “Teach English Now! – Foundational Principles” from Arizona State University, along with professional training in AI-integrated teaching and creative lesson planning.
Over the years, I have developed a special interest in English communication, public speaking and foundational literacy. I enjoy helping learners not only improve their language skills but also become more comfortable expressing themselves.
I also bring confidence-building and emotional wellness into my teaching. I believe that nervousness, self-doubt and fear of making mistakes can sometimes hold learners back, so I aim to create a warm and encouraging space where they can learn, express themselves and grow with confidence.
Outside teaching, I enjoy dancing, listening to music and reading. I genuinely love interacting with my students and watching them learn, grow and become more confident!

My Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is interactive, personalized and focused on building both skills and confidence. I believe learners understand and retain concepts better when they actively participate rather than simply listen.
For Phonics & Early Reading
I make phonics fun, engaging and age-appropriate through:
Phonics-based instruction – introducing sounds and letters step by step
Songs, stories & rhymes – making sounds easier to remember
Games & interactive activities – learning through play
️ Picture prompts – connecting sounds with familiar objects and words
Word-building & blending – helping children combine sounds to read words
Repetition & practice – strengthening sound recognition and reading fluency
Confidence-building – encouraging children to learn without fear of making mistakes
For Adult Public Speaking
My public-speaking classes are practical, personalized and connected to real-life situations. Depending on the learner's goals, we work on:

Confidence, Mindset & Emotional Well-Being
I believe that communication is not only about knowing the right words—it is also about feeling comfortable enough to use your voice.
Many learners experience nervousness, self-doubt, fear of judgment or hesitation when speaking. I therefore incorporate confidence-building, positive mindset and emotional well-being practices into my lessons.
Rather than acting as a counselor, I provide a supportive and encouraging learning space where learners can recognize their emotions, manage everyday speaking anxiety and gradually become more comfortable expressing themselves.
My aim is to help learners develop not only communication skills, but also self-confidence, self-awareness and a positive attitude towards learning.
How a Typical Class Works
Each lesson follows a simple but flexible structure:
1. Warm-up – a short conversation, activity or revision
2. Learn – introduction of the new sound, concept or communication skill
3. Guided Practice – practicing together with support
4. Interactive Activity– applying the skill through games, discussions or speaking activities
5. Personalized Feedback – identifying strengths and areas for improvement
6. Reflection – recognizing progress, emotions and areas to work on
7. Practice Goal – setting a small, achievable task for continued improvement
What Makes Me Different
I focus on confidence alongside communication and academic skills.
I understand that learners may sometimes struggle not because they lack ability, but because they feel nervous, hesitant or afraid of making mistakes. I create a warm, supportive and judgment-free environment where mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning.
Through confidence-building, mindset and emotional well-being activities, I encourage learners to participate actively, express themselves freely and believe in their own abilities.
