I am a teacher of English as a second language, C2 level, and hold a Master's degree in English language and linguistics. I teach phonetics, orality and grammar/linguistics in teacher training and translation programmes in English at university level.

In my classes I offer input through oral and written discourse, guiding the student towards noticing / perceiving the forms used by native speakers, be they at grammatical, or phonological, or textual/discourse level. I have a personal preference for inductive strategies so that the student first observes and then reaches his/her conclusions with my help on how the language system works, whatever the aspect. Practice is essential after the relevant explanations, so I offer gradual practice in the topics covered in class, always with continuous exposure to the language, either orally or in writing. This practice always includes both written and oral production by the student, depending on his/her objective.
