About Guillermo
Dr. in Pure and Applied Mathematics, and a M.S. in Physics. 12 years of experience giving lessons and helping students excel at mathematics. I have worked with students individually and with groups of +100 students. I use a creative approach where students learn how to harness logic and math principles, and develop problem-solving skills. Trained National Math and Physics Olympic medal winners. My students improve their grades, and achieve a complete shift on their skills. My students excel at high attainment programs like AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and IB Math High Level.

I focus on strong foundations of mathematics, creative ideas and problem-solving skills. This means exploring, analyzing, and explaining the context, steps and purpose of each piece of information. I appeal to the strengths, ideas, thoughts, and intuition of each student, and encourage them while tackling the misconceptions that they may have. Math is like learning a new language, as it gives a way to express oneself. Math is an art where arguments and creativity build a bridge from one idea to another. From time to time, I challenge my students, so that when they need to use their skills they will be ready, also for them to notice their own learning.
