About Verônica

Hello, and nice to meet you. My name is Verônica Sarno.

I am an award-winning classical actress with over 16 years of experience across the UK, Brazil, and Europe. I specialise in communication coaching, actor development, and creative education.

I hold an MA in Classical Acting (Distinction) from Drama Centre London, a BA in Performing Arts from one of Brazil’s leading conservatoires, and a Certification in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University.

I believe that human connection and honest communication are powerful tools for growth — both personally and professionally.

Over the past decade and a half, I have coached and mentored individuals and organisations across a wide range of sectors, including corporate and business professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, journalism, finance, healthcare, and legal sectors.

My background as a performer has deeply shaped the way I work with people. My approach is creative, practical, and human, grounded in genuine connection.

I focus on helping people communicate with clarity, groundedness, and confidence — whether on stage, on camera, in the workplace, in public-facing roles, or in everyday life.

I am dedicated to cultivating a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment where people can grow. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all methods or quick fixes. I believe in process — in creating a space where individuals feel safe to explore, reflect, and develop in a way that is meaningful to them.

I genuinely love what I do and am committed to helping individuals develop the awareness, skills, and confidence to express themselves fully and authentically in both their professional and personal lives.

About the lesson

The first meeting is relaxed and conversational, held online, free of charge, and lasts around 45 minutes. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore your goals, challenges, and how I can best support you.

You’re very welcome to ask any questions — it’s important that you feel informed, comfortable, and confident about the process from the very beginning.

Following this, I design a personalised plan tailored to your needs. Your journey is unique, and your sessions will reflect that.

METHODOLOGY

My sessions combine a range of techniques, including acting methods, storytelling, movement, and voice work.

These approaches are holistic and practical, helping you develop clarity, confidence, and presence from within — so your communication feels natural, grounded, and effective.

What I offer:

- Presentation skills and structure: learn how to organise your ideas clearly and deliver them with confidence and impact.

- Storytelling techniques: make your communication more engaging, natural, and memorable.

- Public speaking (with acting-based techniques): build confidence, presence, and spontaneity when speaking in front of others.

- Voice and breathing techniques: improve clarity, flow, and projection while feeling calm and grounded.

- Connecting with your audience: develop a natural and truthful connection with your listener.

- Communication in different contexts: adapt your style to different audiences, settings, and situations.

- Body language and non-verbal communication: build a more confident, expressive, and natural presence.

- Interview preparation: feel prepared, confident, and able to express yourself clearly in an interview setting.

- Personal development: if relevant, we can also focus on work–life balance, creating a more sustainable structure for your work, and developing greater self‑awareness, boundaries, and confidence when navigating professional challenges. This can include planning a career change or strengthening how you present and position yourself professionally.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Sessions are typically 60 minutes, with the option to extend depending on your needs.

Based on your objectives, we can agree on a session frequency that fits your timeline. If you are looking for a more developmental approach, I usually recommend weekly sessions. This allows you time to reflect, integrate what we explore, and apply it in real-life situations — returning with new insights and questions so we can continue building your skills in a meaningful and sustainable way.

What a lot of people don’t understand (and what I didn’t understand) is that public speaking is a WHOLE lot of different skill sets and involves practice in different areas. When Veronica first started coaching me, she asked what do I want to get out of our sessions. I just said I wanted to be a better presenter and not be afraid to speak in public as I did. Well, come to find out that there is a whole world I didn’t realize existed for me to play and practice on in order to get to my “vague goal”. Veronica listened and structured our sessions according to what my weaknesses were. She helped me learn and practice “off the cuff” speaking, powering presentations, improvisation, acting, prepared speeches, and showed the value of the warm ups before any presentations. It was an and still is a journey where I am finding out what I can do and where are my struggles. It’s a moving goal post, but Veronica is there for every step of the way. I live in the US and Veronica made time every single session to ensure the timing works for me. Her personality makes it so much fun, easy and motivating to want to keep going, to keep learning and keep practicing. With each session (and homework) she truly shows what “investing” into yourself is and feels like. Thank you Veronica for showing me what I can do and giving me confidence in areas I have lacked.
