About Ishlyn
My name is Ishleen Kaur, I am a 2nd year psychology student. I am a Native Punjabi speaker with HSC study experience, I deliver structured, personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals. My Approach to Tutoring & Teaching Style
I take a personalized and student-centered approach to teaching Punjabi, adapting each lesson to suit the student’s level, goals, and learning style. I focus on creating a supportive and comfortable environment so students feel confident practicing and making mistakes, which is key when learning a language.
Techniques & Methodology
I use a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities to build well-rounded language skills. My lessons include:
Conversational practice to improve fluency and confidence
Vocabulary building through real-life situations
Reading and writing exercises (including Gurmukhi script if needed)
Interactive activities like role-play and repetition techniques
I also incorporate cultural context to help students understand not just the language, but how it’s used in everyday life.
Lesson Length
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, but I can offer shorter (45 minutes) or longer sessions depending on the student’s preference and goals.
Qualifications & Experience
I have studied Punjabi as a HSC subject and have a strong foundation in both spoken and written Punjabi. As a native speaker, I bring real-life language experience into my teaching, helping students learn practical and authentic communication skills.
