About Jelan
I'm a passionate husband, educator, and performer with a deep love for music. I can easily geek out over music pieces, theory, artists, or anything that pertains to music for probably hours. I've been playing the piano for about 13 years, specializing in pop, jazz, improvisation, and R&B. (Not classically trained) I've been playing the clarinet for about 11 years, specializing in classical clarinet literature and concert band. (Classically trained) I've been playing the trumpet for about 9 years, specializing in concert band literature, jazz, improvisation, pop, and funk. (Classically trained) I've helped plenty of students go on to make District Honor Band, All State Band, and go on to major in music/music education when they reached college. I look forward to the music we'll make together!
