About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily. I'm 16 years old and I've always had a passion for learning new things and exploring new subjects. My favourite areas of study tend to be science, like chemistry and biology, math, particularly algebra, and English, I absolutely love expressing creativity through writing. I get how tough sitting through long boring lectures in a classroom can be, and I'm excited to try a more interactive approach with kids who learn in less conventional ways. Everyone deserves a chance to love learning as much as I always have. I really enjoy having discussions and opening up to other people's perspectives, and I can't wait to help your kid(s) learn!

I love figuring out new ways to teach other students that may not be conventional, as every child has a different way of absorbing, processing, and understanding information. My ideal ages for students would be grades 1-6 but I would be willing and enthusiastic to work with anyone up until grade 8. I love sharing my knowledge with others and watching them develop a passion for learning. I would love to do lessons through video calls on platforms like Zoom. I usually like to keep my sessions around 45 minutes long and end with a 15 minute creative exercise as a brain break. I charge $15/per session.
