About Jay
I’m Jay Fader, a professional Vocal Coach, Vocal Director and Vocal Arranger with over 7 years of experience across the UK and international music industry.
My credits include Sienna Spiro, Cleo Sol, Davido, Cat Burns, Emeli Sandé, Jacob Banks, Odeal, Joy Crookes, Amaarae, Ayra Starr, Knucks and Mimi Webb, working across live performance, studio recording, vocal production and artist development.
I’ve prepared and directed vocals for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performances, international tours, festivals and major live shows, with projects for BBC, Sky, HBO, Arsenal FC and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
My experience also includes productions and performances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, All Points East and The Roots Picnic.
Through Studio Fader, I work professionally across vocal direction, arranging and artist development, bringing real industry experience directly into every lesson.

My lessons combine technical vocal coaching with real-world music industry experience. I work with singers not only on how to use their voice, but on how to sound distinctive, confident and performance-ready.
As a professional Vocal Coach and Vocal Director, I’ve worked with artists including Sienna Spiro, Cleo Sol, Cat Burns, Emeli Sandé, Davido, Odeal and Jacob Banks, giving me a strong understanding of what is required in recording sessions, rehearsals, live performance and artist development.
Each lesson is built around your individual voice. We can focus on technique, range, tone, control, agility and vocal health, while also developing the skills that matter professionally: interpretation, phrasing, harmonies, backing vocals, studio preparation and live performance.
My approach is especially suited to singers and emerging artists who want more than a traditional singing lesson. The goal is to help you find your voice, develop it fully and reach your potential as a singer.
