About Rachel
I am a singing tutor with over 15 years of experience, specialising in teaching college students. My lessons focus on building strong vocal technique while nurturing creativity and self-expression. I guide students in breath control, pitch accuracy, vocal tone, and emotional delivery, helping them sing confidently and authentically.
I use interactive and innovative methods, including vocal improvisation, recording feedback, and song interpretation. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style, ensuring steady progress and enjoyable learning.
Performance skills are a key focus. I help students develop stage presence, confidence, and expressive delivery for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are also incorporated to provide a solid musical foundation.
I encourage students to explore different genres, experiment with styles, and develop their unique voice. Over the years, I have helped many students perform successfully while cultivating a love for singing.

My singing teaching methodology focuses on clarity, creativity, and responsibility. Communication is the foundation of my teaching. I explain vocal concepts such as posture, breathing, voice placement, and pitch control in easy language. Students are encouraged to ask questions and share challenges openly.
Creativity is encouraged in every class. I use expressive singing, vocal improvisation, and emotional storytelling through songs to make learning meaningful. Students explore different genres and develop confidence in their voice.
Cultural sensitivity is a key value in my lessons. I respect the musical background of every student and welcome songs from different cultures and languages. This approach helps students feel comfortable and proud of their musical roots.
Accountability is ensured through structured lessons, regular practice goals, and honest feedback. I motivate students to practise consistently and track their progress. In addition to singing, I teach music reading, rhythm training, ear training, performance skills, and vocal health.
