About Oisín
Hi! My name’s Oisín Hannigan! I started performing at 4, teaching beginner classes at 7, and by 12 I was touring across two continents. Now at 27 I have around two decades in the music industry, and have been teaching online courses for over 5 years! Regardless of your skill level I know we can work together to bring your playing to the next level! In my time as a musician I’ve performed with artists like The Chieftains, Mohamed Abdennour (Gnawa Difusion), and Paul Beaubrun (Arcade Fire), and played at venues ranging from small bars and pubs to large venues like Radio City Music Hall in NYC and Massey Hall in Toronto, so I’m well equipped to help you learn regardless of where you’re playing, and with who! I can’t wait to hear from you!

I teach a variety of different styles, have an eye for detail, and more patience than you will ever need! I spend a lot of time working with my students to create tailored curriculums for each in order to match their goals and needs. I specialize in Irish percussion, but I also study, teach, and play Arabic, Turkish, Greek, and Balkan percussion, as well as the drum kit in both the Irish and American traditions.
