I have had the pleasure of working with Marcelo for almost 3 years. He is an incredible saxophone player, as he is both technically proficient and musically mature. While I have never been a student of Marcelo, I have been to a number of his shows/concerts and I must say that he is quite a talented musician. Aside from his individual talent with the saxophone, Marcelo has a very special ability to seamlessly integrate his instrument with other sections of a band. Over the last roughly 4 or 5 years I’ve seen Marcelo and his band(The Lotus Collective) navigate Miami’s challenging and dynamic music scene having secured multiple consistent gigs. This experience makes Marcelo extremely knowledgeable and capable in his field.

I have heard Marcelo play the sax and he is an incredible player. I’ve heard him play his Baritone, Alto, and Tenor and it is truly amazing work. I also have seen him teach others how to play and he does it with so much patience and care. He really cares about those he teaches and strives to make sure they are learning but also comfortable.
