About Zenia
Hi there! My name is Zenia. As a Vancouver actress and singer, I've been working for 10+ years in Film and TV on set, in auditions, and training. Member of acting unions SAG AFTRA and UBCP/ACTRA.
My film/tv credits include Leading, Recurring, Supporting Leads, Principals, and Guest Starring roles in the following projects; Supernatural, One Of Us Is Lying, Supergirl, Van Helsing, Date My Dad, various Hallmark movies, and upcoming feature film "It's a Wonderful Knife". (Check my IMDB for more!)
I've shot film/tv projects in New Zealand, Toronto, Vancouver, as well as travelled all over the word touring and headlining in cover bands, tribute bands, musicals, and theatre acts. I also work as a singer/songwriter and produce my own original music videos and projects. (if you would like, you can find my music on Spotify and Youtube!)
As I've garnered much of my training from first hand tv/film on set experience and classes, I've also learned so much through my endeavours as a performer in theatre acts, musicals, and the music industry as well. Which all combine in my training as both actor and artist.
I'm excited to share all the experience I've had in these areas and industries and hope I get to share them with you!

Having had 10+ years of auditioning, training in scene study + on-camera classes, and working on set, I look forward to sharing my knowledge, experience, and collected tools over the years. Whether you're a beginner or fellow industry professional, I hope to help you unlock your best potential and to be a friend and coach in your journey!
I believe acting methods are very personal and our responsibility as actors and artists is to not just learn how to master our craft but ourselves along the way. What prompts you in your acting, what interests you, or gets you in the zone is unique to the artist. I don't believe there's one method that fits all in acting, so coaching with me, we'll customize your lessons to what best clicks with you. Here, you have the opportunity to control what you want to learn - one on one! Bring me your audition or the scene you would like to work on. Or if you don't know where to start, I'll simply guide you along the way! :)
Even for vets, honing your craft is so important to help keep the connection between you and your art alive. But so is learning how to have a healthy relationship with yourself and your acting. Overcoming any mental obstacles between you and your craft is so crucial for the performance we give. I hope to help you through this very personal journey between artist and art. Having learned many approaches over the years, I give you what you the tools you need as you navigate collecting your own tool basket! In person or online.
FYI: Sessions at my home studio include using my set up for your tapes (backdrop, camera, stand, etc.) + complimentary editing. Or we can coach online :)

Details
The first free lesson will focus on us getting to know each other. Ask me any questions you have, and I will learn about your experience with acting, what your goals are, how you would like me to help you in your journey, and how I can help you along this way. We will get on our feet with a cold read of a scene or you can bring a scene of your choice to get feedback on and work on! :)
