About June
I am a Biomedical Engineer with Providence Health Care in Vancouver, BC. If you are looking for your first job or seeking to switch careers, I've been in your shoes!
As an immigrant to Canada, I've had my share of struggles getting into the job market. I completed my degree in engineering from UBC and was in the co-op program, which was where I learned job searching skills, including how to write effective resumes and cover letters.
In the last 10 years, I've worked in various industries including retail, sales, quality control, administration and most recently, in the public sector as an engineer. I have experience creating and modifying resumes to tailor to these industries and have tips on creating impactful applications for those seeking to start or change careers.
I realize how difficult it is to get your foot in the door, especially in Vancouver, and I'd like to help so that you don't make the same mistakes I did!

I will review your resume and cover letter and not only provide suggestions for revisions, but I will teach you what recruiters look for and provide you with templates and resources I've used to help me successfully get shortlisted for interviews.
I will guide you on how to create an impactful Canadian resume and cover letter that will have compelling content, personal branding and an effective design. The goal is to attract employers' attention quickly and help you land interviews.
My coaching sessions are best suited for entry-level career professionals with 0-5 years of total work experience. I will ask for a copy of your resume, cover letter and the job description for the job you're interested in applying for. From there, we will review your application package together, and you will be able to submit as many revisions as needed until you are confident to apply for the posting.
