"Teaching approach" has many answers. When I am tutoring, the first question is whether the student has anything that needs to be done right away because it is due very soon. After that I move into what the student learned in their most recent class period. After answering any questions and doing as much practice as necessary for this new material I move into what I know the next topic will be. This allows the student to go to their next class with a leg up on the material, allowing them to not be afraid of the new material and hopefully even participate in the classroom discussion covering this new material. It is very validating for a student when they go to class ready to learn and already know what's going on!

Details
My rate is $55/hour. For a purchase of five hours the rate drops to $50/hr. For a purchase of ten hours the rate drops even further to $45/hr.
My cancelation policy is that I need to receive the cancelation notice within eight hours of the session. For notice of at least eight hours there is no charge. For notice of six to eight hours notice the rate is $30. For notice of four to six hours the rate is $45. For notice of less than four hours the rate is $55.
