About Bernice

I am a professional freelance oboist and music teacher. I graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2020 with a Distinction in two postgraduate degrees - Master of Music as well as Artist Diploma in oboe performance. Since then I have taught more than ever before. My passion lies in teaching and helping students to overcome challenges to achieve their goals in music. I am patient, friendly and build good rapport with my students.

About the lesson

To date I have over eight years of experience teaching Grades 1-8 music theory online and at home to students of all ages. I structure my theory lessons meticulously and over time have come up with methods of explaining key theory concepts in such a way that is easy for my students to understand. My theory lessons are usually an hour long but am willing to vary the lesson duration on an individual basis if desired. If you need to take your Grade 5 theory exam in a short space of time, I also offer intensive theory lessons.

I have witnessed Bernice teaching first hand and would say her attention to detail while remaining calm encouraging and supportive of her pupils are essential qualities. Watching her online performances leaves no one in any doubt as to her abilities.
I would recommend her to anyone of any level.
