About Ivar
With 12 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have taught school students, college students, and working professionals from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students experience the beauty and discipline of music.
My teaching philosophy is centred on flexibility and individual growth. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to match their abilities and goals. I believe that learning should be both enjoyable and inspiring.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have helped many students strengthen their musical foundations and become more confident performers. One of my most rewarding achievements has been watching students progress steadily and enjoy their accomplishments.
My mission is to help students build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.

My teaching methodology is built on kindness, patience, and continuous encouragement. I believe that a supportive atmosphere helps students learn effectively and develop confidence in their abilities.
For violin students, I focus on strong fundamentals including posture, finger placement, bowing techniques, rhythm, and note reading. I adapt lessons according to each student's learning speed and provide clear guidance throughout the process.
I encourage consistent practice and provide constructive feedback that supports steady improvement. I celebrate every achievement because I believe progress should always be recognised.
Besides violin, I teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, and performance preparation. These subjects help students develop a broader understanding of music.
My aim is to help students become disciplined, skilled, and passionate musicians.
