About Michaela
I’m an Irish professional, who moved to the UK over 10 years ago to study and train.
Performing has always been a massive passion of mine, alongside teaching. The two go hand in hand for me. I love getting the opportunity to share the knowledge, skills and experience I’ve gained throughout my training and professional career with the next generation of performers or creative people.
My favourite aspect of teaching is seeing my students grow in confidence, discover their strengths and achieve things they didn’t think they could. I have students that I’ve worked with for years and to watch them develop, is a privilege to be a part of.
For me, teaching is about much more than simply learning a skill. I want my students to enjoy the process, feel confident in themselves and develop a real love for the arts. I bring my professional industry experience into every lesson and aim to make each session positive, creative and inspiring. Regardless of whether they want to be in the professional industry or not, confidence and self-belief are two very powerful tools that will serve a person throughout their life.

My teaching is **encouraging and personalised** to each student. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s age, experience and individual goals, whether they are preparing for a LAMDA exam, audition or performance, building confidence, or simply developing their skills.
I use a practical and engaging approach, incorporating **performance exercises, vocal technique, improvisation, acting exercises and constructive feedback**. I want students to feel challenged while also enjoying their lessons and building confidence.
I have **7 years of teaching experience** across private and public schools, stage schools and drama schools. I hold a **First Degree in Actor Musicianship from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts** and also work professionally as a performer, bringing current industry experience into my teaching.
Lessons are usually **30, 45 or 60 minutes** and are suitable for students from **beginner level through to professional standard**.
