I do not profess to have any exceptional qualities but I owe my successes to paying attention to the details and the commitment to continuous improvement one day at a time.
One of the most rewarding moments in my tutoring experience has been helping a now graduating Curtin pharmacy student realize her career aspirations by gaining entry into her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program in 2019.
With some coaching, she scored a mark of 85 in her Introductory Mathematics unit. She was overjoyed. I had tutors in my life who helped me get to where I wanted to go. I see this as my time to start giving back.

My tutoring approach towards maths and chemistry focuses on understanding (not memorization) & doing problem sets.
A typical lesson lasts 1-1.5 hours unless an extended session is requested by the student. I have worked both privately as well as for North Shore Coaching College and UWA previously. My lessons are more intended for Middle School to 2nd Year university levels.
While I will prepare my own material, the student can present their own problems.
Understanding: a solid foundation and base knowledge of the subject matter. Students are encouraged to ask any questions that are causing them confusion.
Doing many problem sets: a necessary step in reinforcing the neural network. Math & science is very much a language that requires intentional practice and application.
