About A K M Tariqul

I graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2024 with a 2:1 LLB, where I was awarded the Leeds Law School Prize for Law of the EU for achieving the highest marks in the subject. I am a student member of The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and will be starting the Bar Training Course at Cardiff University in September 2026, having been awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship.
Before coming to England I worked as a legal assistant in a criminal defence practice in Bangladesh, which gave me a practical understanding of how law works beyond the textbook. I have been tutoring LLB and A-Level law students for over six years across the UK, Canada, Dubai, South Africa, Ghana and Bangladesh, so I am very comfortable working with students at different levels and from different educational backgrounds.
I know from experience that most students struggle not because the subject is too hard, but because the foundations were not built properly in the first place. My approach focuses on making sure those foundations are solid before moving on, which is exactly what my students tell me makes the difference.

About the lesson

My sessions are built around the individual student. Before anything else I want to understand where the gaps are, because in law subjects the gaps are almost always in the foundations, not the advanced material.
I cover Criminal Law, Contract, Tort, Public Law, Land Law and EU Law at undergraduate level, and Law at A-Level. I am comfortable working through problem questions, essay technique, exam preparation, or simply building understanding of a topic from scratch.
Sessions take place online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, or in person within the Bristol area. I am flexible with scheduling and responsive to messages.
