About Xiexin
Hi! My name is Levi, and I've been a tutor of some sort or other since 2013, when I started teaching chess at my local library in middle school. Nowadays, I do test prep mostly: PSAT, SAT, and ACT, though I still do teach chess and other high school subjects as well. I started online tutoring in fall of 2017, when I first started college, and it's stuck with me as a consistent part-time job since then. I've helped more than 1500 students, from getting a 1500 in their SAT, to helping them write and edit their college application essays, and even just helping them with their chemistry homework. I believe that almost whatever you might need as a high school student, I can help.

For me, tutoring is a conversation. I hate lecturing, and I always try to keep my lessons as engaging as possible. Most of my sessions are done with guided practice questions or practical exercises, because I think that making a student suffer through another boring lecture after classes is the worst experience. Of course, sometimes lectures are unavoidable, but even then I try to make them entertaining instead of boring slop. I hope everyone has fun while being educated in my classroom!
