About Jerry
I am a violin teacher with over 6 years of teaching experience and more than 21 years of violin playing and performance background.
Over the years, I have taught more than 40 students, mainly specializing in:
young beginners
long-term musical development
technical foundation building
exam preparation
My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students build strong fundamentals, effective practice habits, and sustainable musical growth rather than only learning pieces quickly.
In addition to teaching, I have extensive orchestral and performance experience both in China and internationally.
Performance highlights include:
cultural exchange performances at the United Nations Headquarters in New York
touring performances across multiple cities in the United States with youth orchestra programs
theater and festival performances in China
In recent years, I also participated in string ensemble performances of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons Concerto, receiving positive recognition from adjudicators and musicians.
Many of my students have achieved excellent results in music examinations and competitions, and I continue to focus on creating structured and personalized learning pathways for each student.
Lessons are available in Sydney and online.

I provide structured violin lessons for children and beginner to intermediate students, with a strong focus on long-term technical development and musical understanding.
My lessons are designed to help students build:
correct posture and bow technique
accurate intonation and rhythm
effective practice habits
confidence in performance and musical expression
Rather than only teaching pieces, I focus on building a solid foundation that allows students to progress steadily and sustainably.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, including:
beginner violin training
long-term musical development
exam preparation (including Australian Music Examinations Board pathways)
ensemble and performance preparation
I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust teaching methods according to the student’s age, personality, and learning pace.
