About Alight
As a premed student at EU who currently works as a scribe in the ER, I am working towards becoming a sports medicine doctor. I am passionate about the well-being of others and have seen the positive effects that exercise and nutrition can have on the body and mind.
I began my own fitness/nutrition journey when I was 16 (currently 19), with no resources other than random videos on YouTube and a towel on my bedroom floor. It can be overwhelming to create a plan without a solid understanding of the science behind reaching your goals and knowing what to do and what not to do, so you aren't wasting your time. That's why I wish to help beginners, as I once was.
I love seeing people build or regain their confidence. I have partnered with the FL Special Olympics before, volunteering to serve as an assistant to athletes in powerlifting and gymnastics. It is a great opportunity to observe and take part with people who refuse to give up or be held back!

Teenage years are a prime time when the human body undergoes rapid biological, hormonal, and structural changes that make it uniquely responsive to physical conditioning. Whether you are aiming to build muscle, lose weight, improve stamina, or simply become stronger, there are many paths to help YOU based on your specific needs, adjustments, and lifestyle. You do not need to follow a crowd of people who use expensive equipment, premium protein, and excessive diets. To get started, I would love to get to know you and your goals, your starting stats (height, weight, activity level, diet), and what space/resources you can use so that we can tailor a plan around it. Once I receive this information, I will create a plan within 24 hours + a list of easy, affordable, and maintainable meals.
I believe what sets me apart in my eligibility to mentor you is that everything I know came from my own trial and error, research, and educational knowledge from courses I have completed, such as dietary influence on disease, exercise science, nutrition, and advanced anatomy 1-3, etc. I am able to relate to and consider different lifestyles, including those of teenagers who may not have full independence yet.
