About Sara
I have spent six precision-focused years training more than 210 students to develop Excel skills that meet the highest standards of audit readiness and compliance. My professional background includes extensive experience as a financial controller and internal auditor where Excel was the primary tool for financial reporting, control documentation, and regulatory compliance. I have designed control frameworks and reporting systems for publicly traded companies and regulated industries. My students have advanced in careers in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, and compliance. I am particularly skilled at helping finance professionals develop the analytical and documentation skills required for audit-ready work and at teaching the control mindset that prevents errors before they occur. I maintain extensive libraries of compliant templates, control checklists, and audit documentation examples. My Excel teaching is precision-focused and compliance-oriented designed for students who need to create audit-ready analytical workbooks that meet regulatory and organizational standards. I begin every course with an assessment of the students compliance requirements and reporting obligations before designing a curriculum that emphasizes data integrity traceability and documentation. Audit-ready spreadsheets are taught through the implementation of data validation input controls version tracking and comprehensive documentation that satisfies internal and external audit requirements. Compliance reporting is taught through the construction of regulatory reports management dashboards and exception reports that provide transparency and accountability. Financial controls are taught through the design of segregation of duties approval workflows and automated reconciliation procedures that prevent errors and fraud. I emphasize best practices in spreadsheet governance including naming conventions cell protection and change management. For examination preparation I provide coverage of Excel certifications.
