About Lily
Hi! I’m a university student currently studying Biomedical Toxicology at the University of Guelph in Ontario. I have a strong interest in science and helping others learn. I enjoy working with students and breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable steps. I know that subjects like math and science can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on creating a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and understanding of the material. I’m patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense.

My approach as a tutor is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple steps and using examples and practice problems to reinforce understanding.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing the student’s current material or any questions they have, followed by going through key concepts together and working through example problems step-by-step. We finish with practice questions to help build confidence and ensure the student understands how to apply the material.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain ideas in different ways until they make sense. I aim to make lessons interactive, so students stay engaged and feel more confident in their abilities.
My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students who need support with science, whether they are reviewing concepts, preparing for tests, or improving their overall understanding.
