About Mia
I have played the violin for 12 years. I have played in orchestras, quartets, and taken many years of private lessons. I have experience teaching others how to play and I am excited to spend more time doing just that! I love discovering new music and helping my students explore what type of music they most enjoy playing!

About the lesson

We will begin with the student playing me a piece that they already know (if not a beginner) and then determine what they need/want to to improve. We will explore new genres of music and techniques to learn.
If new to the violin, we will begin with the basics: how to position the violin on your shoulder, how to hold the bow, how to make sound with the bow, finger positions, etc.
