About Matt
Hi, I'm Matt Geer, a passionate musician, and music theorist. I'm currently a PhD candidate in music and philosophy and a graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School. I'm also a university lecturer, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students.
I have over ten years of experience in tutoring, working with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities. Through my tutoring, I've developed a teaching methodology that is tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student, helping them achieve their full musical potential.
I'm dedicated to teaching because I believe that music has the power to transform lives. It can enrich our emotions, bring people together, and make the world a better place. Music is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and ideologies, and I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and experience it.
I'm committed to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. My goal is to inspire my students to develop a deep appreciation for music and philosophy and to use their knowledge to make a positive impact on the world around them.

My music and philosophy online tutoring is personalized to each student's needs and goals, using interactive exercises to engage with the material. Lessons are typically 60 mins, with flexible scheduling. I'm a Guildhall School graduate and PhD candidate, and I teach all levels and ages who have a passion for music and philosophy.
