About Ruth
With 6 years of experience teaching piano, I have guided students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and adapting lessons to each student’s unique learning style. I strive to make lessons enjoyable, meaningful, and productive, helping students build technical skills, musical understanding, and expressive playing. Many of my students have performed confidently in recitals, competitions, and community events. I focus on combining theory, technique, and creative exercises to develop both skill and a love for music. Structured practice plans and modern teaching tools make lessons interactive and effective. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential while nurturing a lifelong love for piano. Each lesson is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and joy in music learning.

My teaching approach focuses on compassion, understanding, and strong communication. I aim to make piano lessons enjoyable and stress-free. I teach piano fundamentals such as posture, finger technique, rhythm, and reading notes in a simple and organised way. Lessons are adjusted based on the student’s comfort and progress. I maintain open communication during lessons. I listen carefully to students’ needs and provide clear feedback and encouragement. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, and basic improvisation. These related subjects help students grow as complete musicians. I also help students develop regular practice habits. My supportive teaching style helps students stay motivated and confident.
