About Gabrielle
Master of Music Composition at The Royal College of Music, with a Bachelors of Music from King's College London. My final year Undergraduate courses were in Advanced Composition with Advanced Piano and Vocal Studies. I’m studying a MA in Music Composition with Dr. Catherine Kontz and Dr. Dai Fujikura. I specialise in piano and chamber music. My work is centred around creativity, feeling and intuition, with a heavy influence by my own Synaesthesia and passion for the visual arts. Prior to studying at the RCM, I graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelors in Music, whilst receiving singing lessons at The Royal Academy of Music under Sarah Champion. I bring psychology into my music practice, enhancing confidence and mindfulness practices that enable a better musical performance. During spring 2024, I plan to write for students at the English National Ballet, for a performance of a vocal piece at The Wallace Collection. “Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable” – Leonard Bernstein. I can't wait to share my knowledge and skillsets with you! I have a passion for sharing music and I'm excited to explore the world of sound in our lessons!

Piano studies can feel impossible. With my knowledge as a Master of Composition student at The Royal College of Music and Piano LRSM student, I'll guide you through becoming a proficient pianist. I'll offer in-depth feedback to your piano playing and use various techniques, styles and creative thinking to improve your piano technique, performance mindset and piano repertoire knowledge. I teach in a clear, simple and fun manner to ensure each student can gain a deep and genuine understanding of Piano, whilst enjoying the learning process. 1:1 Tuition, exploring Piano, Music Theory, Repertoire, Exam Preparation and Performance Mindset. INCLUDED: - Piano Scores and Repertoire - In-depth feedback to your Piano Technique - Looking Towards Inspiration and Goal Setting - Detailed Music Theory Tuition - Examination Prep and Performance Mentoring - Piano Exercises and How to Improve your Physicality - 1:1 Check In to find out what each student finds the most challenging about Piano, and how we can improve that specific area.
