About Ava
I am a student who is still learning new work and living the high school experience. I love playing the piano and singing, and on the sports side I play hockey and enjoy running. I am an outdoorsy person and feel energized by being around my friends and family. I have been playing the piano for nine years and am currently working on my UNISA Grade 7 practical. Being in high school, I understand how challenging it can be to balance academics, sport, culture and social life. I would like to help make the cultural side of school more enjoyable and accessible for other students, so their high school experience can be even more rewarding.

My goal is to share my love of music with the students and help them learn and develop skills while having fun. I can teach both basics of playing piano for learners just starting out as well as more technical pieces and skills for more experienced learners. I can also teach students more about playing chords that can be improvised on to play the songs they listen to daily. As I am still a student in high school I understand the difficulty of balancing school, culture and sport and so I can connect with students and understand where they are coming from and try to help them balance their schedules with tips that I've used to balance mine.
