About Hazel
My interest in piano began when I first explored music on a keyboard during my early education. I became fascinated by how melodies and harmonies combine to create expressive musical pieces. This curiosity encouraged me to study piano more seriously and pursue formal training. I later completed a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance, where I studied technique, music theory, and interpretation.
For the past 10 years, I have worked with students who want to learn piano for enjoyment, creativity, and musical growth. Some learners begin with no experience, while others want to improve their technique and understanding of music. My teaching approach focuses on patience, structure, and clear explanation so students feel comfortable learning step by step.
Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing piano and exploring different styles of music. I often study musical compositions to better understand how music is created and performed. Helping students discover their musical potential and build confidence at the piano is one of the most fulfilling parts of my teaching career.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop a clear understanding of the keyboard while building strong musical foundations. Beginners begin by learning the layout of the piano, proper hand posture, and basic rhythm patterns. I guide students through simple note reading exercises and short melodies that help coordinate both hands. These early lessons help learners feel comfortable with the instrument and understand how music is structured.
As students gain confidence, lessons include scales, chords, and longer musical pieces. I explain how rhythm, tempo, and dynamics influence the way music sounds and feels. Students practice reading sheet music carefully while improving their finger movement and hand coordination. These exercises help learners build stronger technical skills and develop better musical control.
Learning piano requires patience and regular practice. I encourage students to focus on gradual improvement and practice small sections of music carefully. Over time, learners develop stronger finger technique and a deeper understanding of musical expression. My goal is to help students enjoy the piano while steadily improving their performance ability.
