About Sophie
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and Music Instruction after years of studying classical repertoire, collaborative music, and teaching methods during my academic training. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students from many different backgrounds and experience levels, helping them strengthen their skills through personalized support and encouraging instruction. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, discipline, and mentorship in a way that feels deeply rewarding. I enjoy helping learners discover confidence and emotional expression through music.
My teaching style focuses on patience, flexibility, and balanced musical development. Some students learn best through structured exercises and repetition, while others respond more naturally to creative activities and improvisation. I adapt each lesson according to the learner’s personality, confidence level, and musical goals. Along with technical improvement, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a positive and welcoming learning environment remains one of my highest priorities as an educator.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical genres, and studying educational approaches that help keep my lessons engaging and modern. Music remains an important part of my daily life and creative growth. One of the most fulfilling parts of teaching is watching students become more comfortable and expressive through their musical journey. Helping learners enjoy music while developing long-term piano skills continues to inspire me greatly.

My piano lessons are designed to help students enjoy music while building strong technical and creative skills step by step. I teach note reading, rhythm control, finger movement, chord understanding, pedal coordination, and expressive dynamics through simple and supportive instruction. Lessons also include listening activities, duet exercises, timing practice, sight-reading work, and creative interpretation that help students become more confident musicians over time. I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring music without pressure. Every session focuses on helping students improve steadily while enjoying the learning process.
Beginners learn keyboard familiarity, posture, scale exercises, and basic melodies through patient guidance and clear demonstrations. Intermediate learners strengthen coordination, hand independence, musical phrasing, and rhythmic accuracy through organized studies and practical exercises. Advanced students focus on expressive interpretation, advanced repertoire, performance preparation, and emotional storytelling through music. I carefully adapt lessons according to each student’s pace, goals, and musical interests so learning remains balanced, motivating, and rewarding throughout their progress.
Learning piano should feel meaningful and inspiring rather than stressful. I encourage students to develop confidence through consistent practice and supportive feedback instead of perfection-focused learning. Many students become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding grows naturally over time. My goal is to help learners build lasting musical confidence while developing technical ability and personal creativity together.
