About Andrea
I have over 4 years of experience teaching piano to college students and enjoy helping learners develop both skill and confidence. My teaching style is flexible and student-focused, allowing lessons to match each student’s pace, goals, and learning style.
I focus on building strong foundations in piano technique, music theory, rhythm, and sight-reading. To make lessons enjoyable and effective, I use innovative methods such as improvisation, composition exercises, and blending classical pieces with modern music.
I also help students build performance confidence and express emotion through their playing. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated, relaxed, and excited to learn. I aim to help every student improve steadily and develop a lasting love for piano and music.

My piano teaching methodology focuses on creativity, guidance, and steady progress. I aim to mentor students while helping them grow into independent and confident musicians.
Creativity is central to my lessons. Students explore songs they enjoy, practise improvisation, and engage in creative exercises. This keeps lessons fun, engaging, and inspiring.
As a critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, scales, chords, hand coordination, and musical expression. Complex ideas are broken into simple steps so students can practise effectively.
Accountability is emphasised through clear goal setting, structured practice plans, and progress tracking. Students develop discipline, responsibility, and motivation for long-term success.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and simple composition to strengthen overall musical skills.
