About Iwan
Hello! I am a third year Piano performance student at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester.
I am a patient teacher who understand that each pupils learns at a different pace. I am happy to teach pupils of any standard, including complete beginners, and I am also willing to enter pupils into exams, but only if they wish to.
Born in 1995, I was raised in Anglesey, North Wales. I studied with Iwan Llewelyn-Jones from the age of 9 until gaining a place to study at the RNCM, where I now study with Benjamin Frith. I have much performing experience and I have had success in various national and international competitions. In 2014, I won first prize at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and the National Eisteddfod of Wales and in 2013 was awarded Gregynog Young Pianist of the Year. I have received masterclasses from renowned pianists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Peter Frankl, John Perry, Pascal Rogé and Nelson Goerner.
