About Julie
I am a doctoral student and assistant in political science, where I mainly teach methodology courses and support students in their thesis or mobility projects.
The idea of coaching outside of university comes from this passion that I have for encouraging and guiding my students, and the realization that most people don't succeed, not because they don't have the capacities, but because they lack two or three elements that would enable them to reach their goals. It often doesn't take much to turn an average dissertation into a high quality essay.
In fact, two things are needed. Appropriate knowledge - every environment has its codes, and you have to master them in order to be successful in this environment. This is my job. But it also takes work - a real motivation to give your best in this project. And that is your job.
Of course I can encourage and motivate you in times of doubt or fatigue, but if you don't really want to work, and look for simple solutions, you are not in the right place :)
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students succeed and fulfill their dreams, and I do everything I can to help them do so, but it all starts with you!

The idea is really to support serious students who both wish to improve by receiving constructive feedback and by applying it to their concrete projects, and to receive one-off or regular support in the development of a research project at university level. This can take several formats, ranging from simple commented correction/proofreading of texts, to support in the structure and/or methodology of a work (such as a thesis), to more in-depth coaching to support a student with ambitious aspirations who wishes to apply for a program in a prestigious university.
