I am a PGCE qualified teacher with over twenty years experience. I have taught at secondary, HE and FE level including working as a Head of Music in both a secondary school and a college where I lead the Foundation Degree in Music programme.
I have four degrees including BA(Hons) Music, MA(Ed) Masters in Education and a PhD in Music Composition. I am a Fellow of the London College of Music (FLCM) and I have grade 8 theory as well as grade 8 piano, euphonium and viola. I am also a published composer with recent compositions for brass band, wind band and musical theatre.
I am an experienced lead examiner for a large exam board where I have written and marked examination papers in A level music, A level music technology and BTEC NG Music.
My specialist areas are Music Composition and Music Theory. I am happy to support up to and including A level and first degree level in these areas as well as any other area of music up to and including GCSE level.
