About Cassie
As someone who has personally learned German, I know how important it is to have time to practice without embarrassment, ask endless questions, and have someone there to help who is organized and wants to understand your personal end goals. At the same time, I appreciate both the importance of accuracy in language as well as the difficulty that holds.
I studied German in Germany, lived, and worked in Germany. I have experience teaching and working with children and young adults in a learning environment in Germany and the US, and have taken a university course on teaching pedagogy. I have university degrees in Global Studies and Biology, as well as a telc C1 Hochschule Certification.

My lessons would be best for German learners of all ages at the beginner to intermediate level. My teaching method is one geared toward YOU, combining needed technical information with the end goal of effective communication: Do you want to make your accent sound more like a native speaker? Do you want fluid speech, instead of struggling with individual sentences? Is there a specific part of grammar you don't understand? Do you want a session where you try speaking, and don't have to worry about asking someone endlessly for words you don't know?
My teaching style will contain personalized planning based on first discussion of goals as well as current German level. Across all considerations, the most important thing for language learning is the removal of the inhibition, expectation, and fear that often surrounds it.
