About Sterling
I am an experienced singing tutor with over 7 years of helping students of all levels—from beginners to advanced learners—develop their vocal skills and musical understanding. I teach school students, college learners, and working professionals, and I believe that every student has the potential to sing beautifully when guided with the right approach.
My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I teach essential vocal techniques such as breath management, pitch control, tone modulation, and vocal projection. I also emphasise performance skills, stage presence, and emotional expression, helping students communicate through their singing. Music theory, rhythm, and sight-reading are incorporated to ensure a strong foundation in all aspects of music.
I focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable practising, experimenting, and progressing at their own pace. Beginners are nurtured with patience and structured guidance, while advanced students are challenged to refine their skills, prepare for performances, and reach their full potential. I also help students overcome challenges such as stage fright or technical difficulties, ensuring consistent progress.
My mission is to help students gain confidence, technical mastery, and a love for music. I want them to not only improve their singing but also enjoy every step of the learning journey, achieving both personal satisfaction and musical excellence.

My teaching methodology for Singing is structured, encouraging, and student-centred. I believe singing improves when students can relate lessons to real life, so I use real-life examples and case studies from songs, performances, and everyday voice use to explain vocal techniques clearly. I teach with empathy, understanding that many learners feel nervous or lack confidence, and I focus on creating a comfortable and motivating learning environment. My approach is flexible, allowing me to customise lessons according to individual learning needs, vocal strengths, and goals.
Clear communication is maintained through simple explanations, demonstrations, and regular feedback. Using a problem-solving approach, I guide students in overcoming vocal challenges such as breathing issues, pitch control, and voice strain through practical exercises. In addition to Singing, I teach relevant subjects such as basic music theory, rhythm training, ear training, vocal care, and performance skills to help students develop complete singing abilities.
