About Cara
Hi! I’m a business owner and online tutor who specializes in writing support, proofreading, and practical skill-building for students and professionals. I understand the challenges of academic and professional writing, and I’m here to help you feel more confident, capable, and clear in your communication. Although I’m not a teacher by profession, I bring years of real-world experience in writing, editing, and effective communication from running my own business. I’ve worked with clients, written proposals, prepared reports, and developed a strong understanding of how to present ideas clearly and professionally — skills that I now share with my students. My tutoring is entirely online and designed to be flexible to your schedule. Most of my support is offered through detailed proofreading and written feedback, with optional video explanations or live sessions upon request. I focus on helping you understand your mistakes, improve your writing style, and gain the skills to succeed independently. My Teaching Method & Techniques
As a business owner, I bring real-world communication and problem-solving skills into my tutoring. My approach is practical, clear, and flexible — designed especially for students and professionals who want structured help, but on their own schedule.
All tutoring is done online and remotely, with a strong focus on asynchronous support — meaning you send me your work, and I provide detailed, structured feedback, edits, and guidance in return. Live video sessions are available upon request for those who prefer real-time discussion.
-How My Lessons Work
Rather than traditional live lessons, most of my support is provided through:
1. Document Review – You send me your essay, assignment, or written work (via email, Google Docs, etc.)
2. Detailed Feedback & Proofreading – I return your document with corrections, comments, and suggestions for improvement. I focus on structure, clarity, grammar, and flow.
3. Instructional Video (Optional) – I can send a short, custom video explaining your key areas for improvement and next steps to take.
4. Follow-Up – You can ask questions, revise, and resubmit if needed — I’ll guide you through it.
If you prefer or need more hands-on support, live video sessions (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) can be arranged by request.
This format is ideal for students who want flexible, thoughtful feedback and don’t always need or want a real-time lesson.
